A fast bowler coaching camp took place on Saturday at Silchar DSA, organized by the Assam Cricket Academy. The camp was led by Australia's Leuko Wimbridge as the head coach.

A total of 539 trainees from various parts of the Barak Valley, including Silchar, attended the camp. Out of these, 49 fast bowlers were selected for their impressive skills, with some aiming to bowl over 90 km per hour and achieving speeds up to 126 km per hour.

During the camp, DSA president Shivbroto Dutta welcomed head coach Leuko Wimbridge in a short ceremony. He highlighted the potential for discovering talented players through such camps and expressed gratitude to the Assam Cricket Academy for making the camp possible. Coach Leuko Wimbridge was pleased with the large turnout and the enthusiasm of the trainees.

 Secretary incharge of DSA, Debashish Shome, encouraged the trainees to learn as much as possible from the coaches. He also thanked the Assam Cricket Association and Assam Cricket Academy for their support.

The event was overseen by Stadium Secretary Ashish Chakraborty, and attended by several local cricket officials and coaches, including Dipankar Dev, Buddhadev Chowdhury, Kaushik Roy, Debjyoti Paul, Joydeep Kar, Debu Paul, and Biplab Sharma Purkayastha.
