16-year old girl gang-raped and murdered; miscreants create chaos at Ashram Road, Silchar.
A minor 16-year-old resident of Silchar who was missing since Sunday has been found dead. Her body was recovered today from Madhura Ghat, Silchar. Rony Das was alleged of kidnapping and murdering the minor according to the locals. Her father said that she's being gang-raped by 6 people and murdered and demands justice. He wants death sentence for them.
After the news broke out unruly mobs started looting shops and destroying Private property and burnt down a general public vehicle and tires at Ashram Road. The mob also pelted stones. To control the situation, police had to blank open fire. The police officials said that the alleged Rony Das has been arrested already.
