Big breaking: Assam surpasses 100 dengue cases, health ministry alerts
According to the latest update from Assam's health minister, Keshab Mahanta, the number of dengue cases in the state has surpassed the 100 mark since January. As of Thursday, a total of 106 individuals have been confirmed to have contracted the disease this year.
Recent reports indicate a surge in dengue cases across various districts. In Baksa, two new cases have been recorded, while Barpeta has reported five cases. Additionally, one case each has been identified in Bongaigaon and Charaideo districts, with six cases in Cachar.
Authorities are urging citizens to take necessary precautions to prevent the spread of dengue, emphasizing the importance of eliminating mosquito breeding grounds and practicing personal protective measures. With the rising number of cases, heightened vigilance and proactive measures are crucial in combating the spread of the disease.
