In a moment of great pride for Assam, the animated film "Lachit The Warrior," paying tribute to the legendary Ahom warrior Lachit Borphukan, has achieved the prestigious title of Best Animation Film at the YathaKatha International Film and Literature Festival held in Mumbai. The event, held last night, showcased this Assamese masterpiece on an esteemed international platform, marking a significant achievement for the state's cinematic prowess.
Directed by Parthasarathi Mahanta, "Lachit The Warrior" has been earning accolades globally for its exceptional artistry and dedication. The film has garnered recognition at eight international film festivals, including prominent events in Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, and the Mumbai North-East Film Festival. Its growing acclaim has led to its selection for the esteemed Indian Panorama, where it will be featured at the upcoming International Film Festival of India in Goa.
The production of the film was supervised by Mina Mahanta and Indrani Baruah, with Dr. Amarjyoti Choudhury providing the captivating narration. The soul-stirring musical score, enhancing the film's emotional depth, was composed by Rupam Talukdar. Anupam Mahanta, responsible for the creative direction, expertly blended storytelling and animation, bringing the historical epic to life. Hrishikesh Bora contributed to the storyboarding and illustration, crafting the visually engaging elements of the film. The mesmerizing visual effects, integral to the immersive experience, were skillfully created by VFX artist Ratul Dutta.
