EVM Glitch pause Voting temporarily in Silchar voting Station
A hiccup interrupted the electoral process when an electronic voting machine (EVM) malfunctioned at polling station number 48, room number 1, resulting in a 30-minute delay in voting. This incident took place at Nrityamayee Prathamik Vidyalaya, where a significant crowd of 1037 voters had gathered to exercise their democratic rights. Polling officials swiftly responded to the situation by calling the sector officer to address the technical issue. Voting resumed by 7:45 a.m. following the resolution of the glitch. It's worth noting the significance of this polling station, situated close to the residence of Rajya Sabha MP and Trinamool Congress leader, Sushmita Dev.
