A horrific road accident occurred on Wednesday on the Sonai-Lakhipur PWD road, resulting in the death of a young biker. The incident led to a road blockade by locals, causing tensions to rise in Natan Ramnagar.
A speeding truck collided forcefully with a biker, causing the biker to be thrown onto the road. The biker, identified as 30-year-old Ranjit Rabidas, died on the spot.
The death of the biker led to a tense situation as locals gathered and blocked the road in protest. Officers from the Sadar police station and Dhalai police station arrived at the scene to control the situation.
With the help of local residents, they recovered the body and sent it to Silchar Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
The tragic incident has left the community in shock and highlighted the need for stricter traffic regulations and road safety measures on the Sonai-Lakhipur PWD road.
