Tengapara Cricket Club to play Dibrugarh in Assam Premier Club Cup final after India Club knocked out due to toss

Silchar's India Club faced heartbreak as their dreams of winning the Assam Premier Club Cup were dashed in the semi-finals. Despite a strong performance in the earlier rounds, including securing four victories out of five matches, their journey came to an abrupt end due to adverse weather conditions.

 The second semi-final, held at Judges Field, was marred by heavy rain, resulting in the match being abandoned without India Club getting a chance to bat. With no reserve day allocated, the outcome was decided by a toss, which India Club lost, paving the way for Tengapara Cricket Club of Kokrajhar to advance to the final.

In the first semi-final, Cricket Club of Dibrugarh emerged victorious over City Cricket Club after rain interrupted play. Dibrugarh, batting first, managed to score 103 runs in eight overs, maintaining a lead in the run rate.

 Despite City Cricket Club's efforts, they fell short with 58 runs in six overs before rain halted the match. With Lok Sabha elections scheduled in Guwahati the following Tuesday, organizers were compelled to proceed with the final without reserving a backup day, resulting in the semi-finals and finals being played consecutively without a break.
