In a significant development, police in Hailakandi, Assam, seized a substantial haul of 8,600 YABA tablets, valued at around ₹26 lakh, on Tuesday, April 30. Acting on a tip-off, a dedicated police team, led by Officer-in-Charge Bishnu Baruah, conducted a targeted operation in the Thandapur area.

 The operation resulted in the apprehension of two individuals, Anam Uddin Laskar and Abdul Rauf, who are now in custody in Panchgram. Alongside the narcotics, authorities also seized ₹80,000 in cash suspected to be tied to the illicit trade.
